Stopping Socialism is a project launched in 2018. It is owned by Justin Haskins, co-director of the Socialism Research Center at The Heartland Institute and the author of the Amazon bestseller Socialism Is Evil: The Moral Case Against Marx’s Radical Dream (2018). The site was also founded by Donald Kendal, the co-director of the Socialism Research Center.
Both Haskins and Kendal served as contributors to Glenn Beck’s 2020 book Arguing with Socialists, a New York Times bestseller. Haskins is also the co-author, with Beck, of the 2022 book The Great Reset: Joe Biden and the Rise of Twenty-First Century Fascism, which appeared on the bestseller lists of the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and New York Times. Kendal served as a contributor for The Great Reset book.
Stopping Socialism is powered by The Heartland Institute and The Henry Dearborn Institute for Human Rights, a nonprofit association of scholars and professionals.
The Heartland Institute is one of the world’s leading free-market think tanks. It is a national nonprofit research and education organization based in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Its mission is to discover, develop, and promote free-market solutions to social and economic problems. The Heartland Institute plays an essential role in the national (and increasingly in the international) movement for personal liberty and limited government. It is the pipeline between the freedom movement’s leading writers and thinkers and the nation’s 8,400 national and state elected officials.
