In recent weeks, President Biden has repeatedly warned that so-called MAGA Republicans pose an imminent threat to the United States. In fact, Biden has gone so far as calling MAGA Republicans “semi-fascists” and even “domestic terrorists.”
Apparently, Biden’s rhetoric about MAGA Republicans is not sticking with the American public, who aren’t buying into his propaganda that the 80 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump in 2020 are akin to Nazis or al-Qaeda maniacs.
According to a new poll conducted by Harvard-CAPS Harris, more Americans believe the socialist left poses a greater threat to the nation than the much-maligned MAGA Republicans.
When asked, “Are you more concerned about the Socialist left in America and the power they are gaining or more afraid of MAGA Republicans and the power they are getting?”, 55 percent responded: “More concerned about Socialist left.”
Similarly, most Americans believe the threat of MAGA Republicans is grossly exaggerated.
When asked, “Do you think there are tens of millions of dangerous MAGA Republicans backing violence and trying to overthrow the constitution or is that a gross exaggeration and distortion?”, 54 percent said: “Gross exaggeration.”
Fortunately, most Americans understand that the MAGA agenda, which emphasizes secure borders, law and order, low taxes, reduced regulations, energy independence, and many other commonsense policies, is far from a threat. On the other hand, it is heartening to see that a majority of voters also understand that the socialist policies advocated by the left actually pose a danger to the republic.
